As part of our mission to shape Detroit’s next great stories, we are tapping into our rich, Detroit, female artist community and hosting a pop-up art exhibit! Detroit City Distillery’s bold venue in the historic former Stroh’s Ice Cream Factory, is officially open, blending raw industrial heritage with modern design. Now, we are expanding our vision to turn this creative hub into a platform for the incredible talent right here in Eastern Market! We are seeing local, female-identifying artists to bring their unique perspectives, strength, and creativity to our walls, transforming our industrial canvas into a vibrant community showcase. Submission Guidelines: Eligibility: Open to local, female-identifying artists in the greater Detroit area. Mediums: Open to all mediums that can hang securely from a single point (paintings, photography, mixed media, textiles, etc.). Quantity: Please submit 3 to 5 pieces for curation consideration, we are looking for 5-10 artists! Artists are invited to showcase their work at Liberty Center Campus in an exciting exhibition opportunity. The campus offers the chance to display up to 8 pieces of artwork in their bustling café, where the artwork will be viewed by organic foot traffic from students, faculty, and visitors. Details: • Number of Pieces: 10 artworks. •Size Limit: Pieces can be no taller than 24" and as wide as 36". •Location: Campus Café – a vibrant space with natural foot traffic throughout the day. 100 West Big Beaver, Tory Mi. Duration: The exhibition lasts approximately 8 weeks. Content Restrictions: Artwork does not need to be for sale, but it cannot contain nudity, profanity, religious themes, or sensitive topics.

The Community Arts Gallery is nestled within the First Merchants Bank, an integral part of the vibrant Ferndale, community. This unique space is owned by First Merchants Bank and collaboratively affiliated with the City of Ferndale. I had the distinct honor of receiving a joint invitation from the City of Ferndale and First Merchants Bank to infuse this contempoary venue with the creative spirit of local artists. Dedicated gallery space spanning approximately 800 square feet, the gallery features two expansive walls adorned with south-facing windows that bathe the space in natural light. This gallery is not only artist-run but also deeply rooted in the local neighborhood. Together, this becomes vibrant hub where artists can proudly showcase their work and engage with the broader community. The Community Arts Gallery is located inside First Merchants Bank at 22635 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI 48220 Details: • Number of Pieces: Up to you, I recommend visiting the space before hand but not required. • Size Limit: No size limit but must be hung with nails • Mediums: Open to all mediums • Location: 22635 Woodward Ave, Ferndale, MI 48220 • Duration: Each rotation duration is flexible based on your desires • Hanging: Artist is required to hang their work, hanging services are available for a fee or we can refer you to someone. Artwork can be hung using nails and picture hanger hooks • Must supply own signage (if you wish to have it) • Artist must run own sales but we can help you on this if you need it • After you are done in the space, please simply patch the holes with some wall putty • Opening receptions are allowed on a Friday of your choice during business hours. The bank is open from 9-5, there is a table and 4 chairs in the space for your usage • Content Restrictions: Artwork does not need to be for sale, it cannot contain nudity, profanity, religious themes, or sensitive topics To apply: Please submit 5 pieces to serve as an example of the work to be displayed. This does not mean you will only display 5, you can display as many as you would like. You do not have to display the 5 you submitted. These as a submission are to make sure your work meets the space guidelines. Apon acceptance, you will be emailed available dates for your exhibit.

The Gallery at Brewery Park, located within the Crain Communications Building at Brewery Park Corporate Campus, is an exhibition space which highlights the talents of both emerging and established artists. As a vital part of Detroit’s thriving art scene, the gallery offers a dynamic and welcoming platform for artists to showcase their work in a beautiful and accessible setting. With a focus on supporting local talent, the gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions, events, and programming, providing opportunities for both individual artists and art organizations to engage with a broad audience. Our 30% commission on sales ensures that artists retain the majority of their earnings, while still supporting the operational needs of the space. Artists and organizations are invited to host receptions, artist talks, or closing events in the gallery, with 1-3 hour time slots available for these engagements. My commitment to fostering community and creativity has led to significant success for many of our featured artists. With a welcoming atmosphere and an enthusiastic audience, the gallery has seen some artists generate over $10k in sales within just four weeks. We are proud to be a cornerstone in Detroit’s art community, offering a professional and supportive environment where artists can thrive and share their vision with the world. The space is open Monday through Friday from 9-6 PM with approx. 1,500 in foot traffic weekly. Sales by visitors and employee's on a regular basis including Crain Communications who owns the campus and continually adds to their corporate collection which spans nationally. Are you interested in a solo or group exhibition in our Gallery? Do you have an idea for a group show that you’d like to curate? We’d like to learn more about what you have in mind! We are currently reviewing exhibition proposals for the Fall 2027; the deadline is September 30, 2026. There is no cost to submit, and you can apply at any time for future consideration. From a review by Mike Kroll, “The gallery has that Detroit confidence: polished concrete still carrying the freckles of old workdays, white block walls that don’t try to pretend sophistication is the same thing as truth, and a sky-blue ventilation pipe underlining the ceiling like someone signed their name across the room. The lights are sharp enough to catch a mood but soft enough not to boss anyone around. And those two mid-century chairs and table in the center feel like the coolest elders in the room, settled in, ready for whatever surprise walks through the door next.” To submit a proposal, please select 10 images that are examples of the work to be displayed, along with an exhibition statement describing the work or theme. DETAILS • Number of Pieces: The exhibition space will accommodate about 25 small to medium size works, or up to 20 if some larger works are included. • Medium: Original works of fine art—primarily paintings, works on paper, photography, and some sculpture (no reproductions, merchandise, or jewelry). • Duration: We generally host five exhibitions a year, which run about six weeks; the Gallery is closed in January and February. • Hanging: The Gallery will lay out and hang the exhibition. • Reception: The Gallery hosts an opening reception, usually late on Saturday afternoon for two hours. • Artist Talk: We encourage an informal Artist Talk/Q&A with the public midway through the show. • Sales: Artwork generally should be for sale. The Gallery handles all sales during the exhibition and takes a 30% commission. PRESENTATION STANDARDS • Content: Artwork with erotic, violent, or hateful images is not accepted. • Size/Weight: The maximum dimension for hanging artwork is 48” and the maximum weight is 25 lbs. For artwork displayed on pedestals (we have a limited number), the maximum dimension is 16” and the maximum weight is 40 lbs. • Framing: Artwork must be presented in a professional manner and ready for secure installation.
