Cheryl Barill

Cheryl has merged her love for color and shine with a steady exploration of techniques. She switched from using acrylic to using oils in 2000, and in 2012 began developing innovative methods using metal leafing in a distinctively unique manner, seamlessly integrating passages into her oil paintings. In addition to her work in the studio, Cheryl has brought to the community a specific artist talk format that is called, "Secrets Of The Studio". This is an educational outreach to both the collector and artist. She is a proud Michigan resident. As a single parent, she has raised two young adult children who are both pursuing their own passions. With a lifelong commitment as a self-directed artist, Cheryl became an award-winning artist whose work is extensively exhibited and collectors across the United States, UK and Canada
