About the Artist
I am a fine art photographer who uses black and white film to explore shadow, shape, pattern and texture through abstract and still-life photographs. I found a passion for fine art photography late in a business career. Largely self-taught, I developed my skills, personal vision and a deep understanding of how photographer, camera, and subject intersect to create a compelling photo. I have exhibited in the metro-Detroit area, nationally, and internationally, and my work is in private collections in Michigan. I have won awards over the last 20 years, including the prestigious Gold Medal in the 97th Annual Exhibition at Detroit’s historic Scarab Club. I also provide photography and media services to artists from my studio in Hazel Park.
