Andre F. Reed Jr.

Andre F. Reed Jr., professionally known as Dreyyy, is a Detroit-based multidisciplinary artist, curator, poet, author, and musician whose work explores the spaces between identity, imagination, memory, and emotion. Working primarily through visual art, Reed has developed a distinctive practice rooted in abstract expressionism and informed by elements of cubism and surrealism, creating vibrant compositions that invite viewers to engage with layered narratives and personal interpretation. A graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Advertising, Reed has exhibited nationally and internationally, including Bridges, Because of Them. His work has been featured at The Carr Center, Padzieski Gallery, Westland City Hall, Galerie Camille, Design Studio 6, and Voyer Bordello to name a few. His artwork is held in notable private collections, including those of Judy Bowman, Henry Harper, Paul and Daphne Curtis, the Whitaker family, and the permanent collection of Mack Alive. Beyond the visual arts, Reed’s creative practice extends into poetry and music. He is the self-published author of two poetry collections and records music under the name Dreyyy, where his introspective lyricism and emotionally driven storytelling mirror many of the themes present in his visual work. Through collaborations with artists across Germany, France, and Spain, he has expanded his artistic reach while continuing to build a multidisciplinary body of work that transcends medium. Whether through painting, poetry, curation, or music, Reed’s practice is guided by a commitment to vulnerability, experimentation, and storytelling—using creativity as a tool to connect personal experience with collective understanding.
