About the Artist
Leslie Abraham is a Detroit-based interdisciplinary artist exploring memory, observation, and the quiet beauty of overlooked spaces. Her work is inspired by Midwest architecture and the relationship between forgotten cityscapes and the natural world. Through painting and mixed media, she transforms familiar places and everyday details into emotional landscapes shaped by memory and imagination. Her paintings exist between past and present, inviting viewers to reflect and find their own meaning within scenes that feel both familiar and distant. Abraham studied at the New World School of the Arts College in Miami, Florida and has been working in the arts for over a decade. Alongside her personal practice, she has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, taught private art lessons, and supported the Detroit arts community through her knowledge of creative processes, materials, and techniques.
